Penitential edict at Bath (VII Atr)
This code survives in the twelfth-century legal collection known as the Quadripartitus. The main differences between the Old English version and this Latin version are the omission of some clauses, the change of order of others, and the prologue. The prologue of this version states that it was issued at Bath but does not give a date, while the Old English prologue states that the code was issued when the great army came to England, usually thought to have been in 1009.
