Be Mircna laga (Mirce)
This is a set of wergelds payable by those people living in Mercian society. The text exists in several manuscript collections, some of which are connected to, or have been amended by, Wulfstan, archbishop of York (1002-1023). The text is old-fashioned as it anticipates the need for a wergeld for a Mercian king, of which there were none after the 880s.
